James is a Director on the investment team at NAventures. Based in Toronto, he sources fintech investments and works closely with NAventures portfolio companies throughout their lifecycle. Prior to joining NAventures, James worked with the strategic initiatives, partnerships and investments team at National Bank, developing and delivering projects in retail and commercial banking. Before National Bank, he worked at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, where he advised startups, VCs, and other businesses on legal matters relating to venture deals, securities and M&A transactions.

James is a member of the Barreau du Québec and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. - First Class Honours), a civil law degree (B.C.L.), and a common law degree (LL.B.) from McGill University.
