What information do I need to provide to receive an international transfer?

Here is the information you need to share with the sender to receive an international transfer directly in your account:  

  • National Bank institution number: 006  
  • National Bank SWIFT code: BNDCCAMMINT 
  • National Bank ABA code (for USD): 021000021  
  • Branch transit number: 5-digit code  
  • Branch address: National Bank of Canada, street number and name, city, province, country, postal code, and phone number 
  • Your National Bank account number: 7-digit code (Canada or United States)  
  • Your address: first and last name, street number and name, city, province, country, postal code, and phone number  

Note that funds can be withheld or returned to the sender if information is missing or incomplete.  

Important! 

An IBAN only identifies European banks. It cannot be used to identify National Bank.
