How do I report fraud or identity theft?

If you're a National Bank client and believe you have been a victim of fraud, call us immediately at 1-888-835-6281 to secure your file.  
 
Our advisors are available every day from 6 a.m. to midnight (ET). 

If you are a victim of identity theft, you can lock or cancel your credit card online: 

From your browser: 
- Sign in to your online bank
- Click Products and services in the left menu. 
- Expand the Credit cards section. 
- Scroll down to Lock or cancel my card, then click Start. 
- Select the card you want to lock or cancel, then click Continue. 
- Follow the steps.

From your National Bank app: 
- Sign in to your National Bank app
- Select the credit card you want to lock or cancel. 
- Under Details, click Lock or cancel my card, then follow the steps.

It is also important that you call us immediately to report the theft at 1-888-835-6281. Certain restrictions may apply to the account to protect it.

 

Good to know

To avoid fraud, be aware of phishing emails, text messages, fake news on social media and other fraudulent calls that are on the rise.  
 
Neither National Bank, a public health authority, nor the government will ask for your personal information by email, text message, or with hyperlinks and attachments in emails.
