How can I change a transaction category?

Here’s how to change the category in which a transaction appears.

From your web browser:

  1. Sign in to your online bank.
  2. Select your account, then go to your transaction history.
  3. Select the category of your choice from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click Save.

From your National Bank app:

  1. Sign in to the National Bank app.
  2. Click on your account, then on your transaction to view the history.
  3. Click Categories, then select the category of your choice.
  4. Choose whether you want to apply this category to all similarly named transactions.
