How do I earn rewards points with my National Bank credit card?

You can earn rewards points by using your National Bank rewards credit card to pay for groceries, restaurant bills, gas or electric recharging, travel expenses, recurring bills and other eligible purchases.

The points you can earn per purchase vary depending on the type of purchase and credit card you have. For more information, please see the page for your credit card:

- Platinum Mastercard®

- World Mastercard®

- World Elite® Mastercard®

Note that you must respect the obligations of your credit card contract (e.g. make the minimum payment by the due date).

Some transactions do not allow you to earn points:

  • Cash advances
  • Balance transfers
  • Mastercard cheques
  • Interest charges
  • All non-interest charges (e.g., annual fees, foreign exchange transaction fees, balance transfer fees, insurance premiums and Mastercard cheque fees)
  • Purchase returns

For full details on earning and redeeming points, see the À la carte Rewards Plan® rules.
