I don't recognize a transaction on my credit card. What should I do?

If you don't recognize a transaction on your credit card, don't panic. Ask yourself the following questions: 

 

Do I recognize the company that charged my card?

  • If you know the company or have done business with them in the past, contact them for more information.
  • The transaction could be an automatically renewed subscription.
  • The company could also have made a mistake and could surely correct it quickly.

 

Do I recognize the amount or date of the transaction?

  • Companies are sometimes registered under a different name in payment systems, and may appear under a different name in your transaction history.

 

You don't recognize the transaction after these checks?

  1. Temporarily block your card in your online bank.
  2. Call us immediately at 1-888-622-2783. We'll check to see if your card has been compromised.
