How can I make an additional mortgage payment? 

You can make an additional payment on your mortgage, also called a down payment. Pay off up to 10% of the initial value of your mortgage each year, without penalty, in addition to your usual payments.

Make your additional payment in one or more installments during the year.

You can also increase or double your mortgage payments without additional costs or penalties.

Here's how to make an additional payment on your mortgage:

From your web browser:

  1. Sign in to your online bank.
  2. Click Overview in the left menu, then your mortgage loan.
  3. Click Accelerated repayment.
  4. Click Additional payment, then continue.
  5. Follow the instructions.

From the app:

  1. Sign in to your National Bank app.
  2. Click your mortgage, then on the desired installment.
  3. Click Accelerated repayment
  4. Select Make an additional payment, then click Continue.
  5. Follow the instructions.
